Simons Halal Food supplies high-quality halal meat products from our state-of-the-art production facility in Roermond. We supply our meat products to importers, distributors and wholesalers throughout Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Asia.
As a maintenance technician, you will be part of the technical department of Simons Halal Food. You are responsible for coordinating and performing maintenance on the machines, tools and buildings. We are looking for someone with an MBO working and thinking level who feels (partly) responsible for the proper functioning of the technical department. So do you have knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems and mechanics and are you looking for a new challenge? If there is no acute maintenance that requires your immediate attention, the day starts with a nice cup of coffee. Then you get to work on preventive maintenance based on the maintenance intervals and fix the common malfunctions in the technical installation that come by during the day. You also supervise any external mechanics. You report and process all work done correctly and pass on which material you have written off. In between you take a break with your colleagues in the common canteen, where you chat about the weekend. Then you focus on the work that needs to be done regarding building management. As the workday nears its end, you’ll dive into the warehouse when you maintain and clean up tools and other work equipment. Before you go home, you have a quick chat with the technical manager.
Together with your colleagues, you ensure that the technical and electrical systems function properly;
You communicate well with the other employees of the technical department, but can also work independently;
Your duties include the correct storage and disposal of materials and the timely delivery of investment proposals for the technical systems. We therefore expect you to be stress-resistant and decisive, and to be able to think and act in a problem-solving manner;
We also consider it important that you are proficient in German and English terminology related to the technical plants and master these languages at B2 level or are willing to attain this level;
For this position, we ask for an availability of 40 hours.
When you join us, you get 25 vacation days and 15 atv-days for a 40 hour work week. We also offer you a year-end bonus of 3.25% and pay our travel expenses from 10 km (single journey).
