Simons Halal Food provides high-quality halal meat products from our modern production facility in Roermond. We supply our products to importers, distributors, and wholesalers across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia. Our sales department focuses on acquisition, marketing, and building strong international customer relationships. Due to our rapid growth within the European market and beyond, we are seeking a driven and experienced International Sales Manager.
As our International Sales Manager, you are the driving force behind our commercial ambitions. You combine account management of existing relationships with active cold acquisition to seize new business opportunities. You are responsible for all commercial activities: from analyzing market developments to closing deals with both retailers and food service partners within the ethnic food market.
Business Development: Actively exploring and reporting on new markets and customers, both domestically and internationally.
Relationship Management: Visiting existing clients at home and abroad, and acting as the primary point of contact for sales agents and business partners.
Commercial Management: Managing the product portfolio, monitoring sales margins, and conducting price negotiations within agreed frameworks.
Analysis & Strategy: Performing market and product analyses and preparing sales management information for the Sales Director.
Operational Oversight: Independently handling quotations and export documentation, and managing the onboarding process for new customers (e.g., labeling and packaging requirements).
Marketing: Contributing to the marketing policy and ensuring the marketing plan remains up to date.
We are looking for a commercially sharp professional with deep knowledge of the ethnic food industry and a talent for turning ideas into results.
Experience: You have extensive experience as an International Sales Manager within the food sector (experience with Halal is a strong plus).
Skills: You are a clear communicator who knows how to connect with and engage people at all levels.
Languages: You are fluent in Dutch, English, and German, both written and spoken. Proficiency in French is a distinct advantage.
Analytical Skills: You use market data and insights to make smart, well-founded commercial decisions.
Mindset: You are resilient under pressure, flexible, and persistent. You are willing to travel internationally for client visits and trade fairs.
